LINSEED OIL

This is a product for industrial use. Linseed oil is one of the oldest used oils and it has been used for centuries in paints and varnishes. These products are now popular again. Linseed oil also is used for the preservation of unpainted wood. These uses are based on the hardening (polymerisation) of the oil.

There are two types of Linseed oil: raw and cooked. Raw linseed oil hardens more slowly than the cooked version. Due to polymerisation, rags contaminated by linseed oil may be a fire risk.
